Movie Night at OCCC

Movie Night at the Orange County Coast College will be taking place on Friday, October, 11th.  This is a fun annual event for both students and community members. This movie installment will be The Nightmare before Christmas. Pre-Movie entertainment begins at 6pm and the movie begins at 7pm. There will be free snacks and popcorn provided throughout the evening. Please pre-register for this event. The movies are held on the College Main Quad. Quilt, Craft and Sewing Festival

The is coming up at the OC Fair and Events Center. Housed in the Hangar building, the show will take place October 3rd, 4thand 5th. Thursday and Friday the show will be open from 10am to 5pm and on Saturday from 10am to 4pm. This is a very creative environment for quilters, sewers and crafters. It is a great show to experience with friends. There will be lots of new supplies to try out and purchase. Admission is free and parking is $9. Harvest Festival

The OC Fair and Events is hosting the very large Harvest Festival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday: September 20th, 21stand 22nd. This three-day show will have over 24,000 American handmade and embellished arts and crafts. In addition, there will be entertainment and prizes. Show food includes bread, soups, desserts, candied apples and much more. There will be a Kid Zone area. The show is open from 10am to 5pm on Friday and Sunday and 10am to 6pm on Saturday. It will be held in the Costa Mesa Building, Huntington Beach Building and the Santa Ana Pavilion. Tickets are $9 for general admission and kids, 12 and under are free. Pelican Hill is part of the city of Newport Beach. Pelican Hill offers world class golf, recreation, dining and shopping. The Great Labor Day Cruise 2019

The Great Labor Day Cruise is taking place on Saturday, August 31st and Sunday, September 1st. This is one of the longest running events in Orange County. The cruise route is 1.25 miles and circles a 150 acre venue, at the OC Fair and Events Center. All the proceeds from the Great Labor Day Cruise are donated to the Warrior Foundation ~ Freedom Station. Admission is $12. Newport Beach was incorporated in 1906 and is one of the oldest cities in Orange County. Approximately 85,000 people live in Newport Beach. OC Night Market

The OC Night Market is happening on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 23rd through August 25th. This will be the last OC Night Market of the year, which takes place at the OC Fair and Event Center in Costa Mesa. There is something for everyone at the Night Market, eats, drinks, shopping and entertainment. There will over 200 vendors, with local food, merchandise, games and arts. In addition, entertainment will include live music performances, eating contests, magicians, an Art Walk and dance competitions. The OC Fair is located at 88 Fair Drive. Mariachi Performance at OC Fair

 

The Orange County Fair and Event Center has many events going on this coming weekend including the Viva El Mariachi. Viva El Maricachi will feature Mariachi Sol de Mexico de Jose Hernandez and other mariachi bands. This year they will be performing at the Pacific Amphitheatre, they have performed at the OC Fair for more than 20 years usually on The Hangar stage. The concert begins at 6pm on Sunday, August 4th. Oysters and Ceviche at La Cuisine Culinary Arts

 

The fall season, is a fabulous time of year to sell your home. Mariinsky Ballet and Orchestra

 

During the fall, as days become shorter, turn on all the lights during open houses and showings. Encourage day time visits, if at all possible, to show the home filled with natural light. Always, turn all the lights on both inside and outside, especially when showing the home after daylight hours. Clean fixtures and make sure all the light bulbs are working prior to listing the home for sale. Add additional table lamps or standing lamps to brighten a dark corner or area of a room.

 

 

The Mariinsky Ballet and Orchestra will honor Michel Fokine at several performances from Thursday, October 12th through Sunday, October 15th. The orchestra and Mariinsky Ballet will come together to honor Russian choreographer Michel Fokine with four of his ballets. The performance will begin with scenes from Chopiniana, the second act includes scenes from Le Spectre de la Rose, the other two ballets included The Swan and Scheherezade. During shorter fall days, be sure to light up the house during open houses and showings. Turn on both indoor and outdoor lights. Cruisin’ For A Cure

 

With fall comes shorter days. When you are selling your home take this into consideration. Try to schedule open houses and showings during day light hours when your home is filled with natural light. If you have to schedule evening showings, which is commonplace with busy fall schedules, leave all the lights turned on both inside and outside.

 

 

Cruisin’ For A Cure takes place on Saturday, September 23rd. This all day event begins at 7am and continues until 4:30pm. This is the largest one-day charity car show in the US. There will be more than 3,500 cars to view including muscle cars, classics and hot rods.
