45th Annual OC Family, Home and Fun Expo

The 45th Annual OC Family, Home and Fun Expo will take place on Saturday October 15th and Sunday, October 16th. There will be booths with home improvement products, services, hourly DIY workshops, gardening ideas and tips and staycation ideas. The Costa Mesa Speedway is hosting 52 Years of Legendary Speedway Racing. On Saturday evening, September 24th, enjoy an evening of high compression single cylinder racing. There will be motorcycle and motorcycle sidecar racing. With the small track and stadium seating, you will not miss any of the action. The floodlit, nighttime races add to all the excitement. 2022 OC Fair Taste of Fair Food

The 2022 OC Fair is back and in-person. The OC Fair is open from July 15th through August 14th, Wednesdays through Saturdays. On Thursdays, come out for $4 Taste of the Fair Food. Every Thursday, from 11am to 4pm, get a sample size of food for only $4. Among the items to choose from are funnel cakes, tri-tip, lemonade, cinnamon rolls, tacos, gelato, cotton candy and much more. 2022 OC Fair

The 2022 OC Fair is going on from July 15th through August 14th. The Fair is thrilled to welcome people back, live and in-person. This year’s theme is “Feel the Sunshine.” Tickets are currently on sale. Advance ticket purchase is required, as fair officials are limiting the number of admission tickets available per day. The City of Costa Mesa’s Fourth of July Celebration will take place on Sunday, July 3rd. Costa Mesa’s Independence Day Community Celebration will take place at the OC Fairgrounds. Bring your own picnic or purchase from food or drinks from one of the many venders. No hard sided coolers, alcohol or glass bottles or containers are allowed. The OC Farmers Market takes place every Thursday from 9am to 1pm. Shop local at an OC Farm Bureau certified farmer market with produce, fresh flowers, fish, hummus, honey, condiments and much more. Original O.C. Swap Meet will be open on Sunday, June 12th from 9am until 3pm. The swap was created to bring together small, local businesses and the public in an outdoor space. There will be a large variety of products and goods to purchase. There will be over 150 locally owned small businesses represented. You never know what you will find at the O.C. Swap Meet. Imaginology 2022

The OC Events Fairgrounds and Event Center is hosting Imaginology April 9th and 10th. This year Imaginology will be live in and in-person, after being cancelled in 2020 and virtual in 2021. Imaginology focuses on S.T.E.A.M. education with hands on activities. Children, teenagers, school groups and families will be able to tryout science, technology, art, and math activities. Learning workshops and hands-on activities will range from pre-school to high school levels. There will be opportunities to build, create, play, observe and interact. Orange County Regional FIRST Robotics Competition

The OC Fair and Events Center is hosting the Orange County Regional FIRST Robotics Competition. “Dubbed a varsity sport for the mind,” this sport combines the science and technology. This is a spectator event that pairs students with engineering professionals to work together to solve design problems in a high energy competition. The competition takes place March 10th, 11th, and 12th from 8:30am to 6:30pm. The competition is being held in The Hangar and Anaheim Building. Admission is free and parking is $10. Learn to Make Chocolate Truffles

The Farm at the OC Fair Grounds and Events Center is hosting a Truffle Making Workshop in February.  On Saturday, February 5th, join in all the fun and learn to make chocolate truffles just in time for Valentine’s Day. The class will be taught by Chef Vina at the Centennial Farm. Begin by learning about the origin of chocolate, next you will make your own ganache and finish with decorating with gourmet toppings. Gift boxes and ribbons will be supplied for you take your truffles home in. This is a two-hour class; one session will begin at 10am and a second session will begin at 1:30pm. The class costs $30 per person and includes all supplies.
