The Great Train Show at the OC Fairgrounds

The Great Train Show is back at the OC Fair and Event Center on Saturday and Sunday, February 8th and 9th. The show is designed to be engaging for all ages, from novices to collectors. This is a great activity for families. There will be hundreds of tables of trains, accessories, scale models and collectible toys.  There will be sales, free seminars, educational opportunities and children’s activities. The show opens at 10am each day and stays open until 4pm. Admission purchased on Saturday is good for both days. USVA Tet Festival at OC Fairgrounds

The USVA Tet Festival will taking place at the Orange County Fair and Event Center from Friday, January 24ththrough Sunday, January 26th. This is the largest Tet Festival in the nation. Tet is the celebration of the Vietnamese Lunar New Year. Tet celebrates the new spring and looking forward to a year. This organization and festival are entirely run by volunteers, including high school students, college students, young professionals and parents. The goal of the group is to serve the community and preserve their culture. The festival is open on Friday from 4pm to 10pm, on Saturday from 11am to 10pm and on Sunday from 11am to 9pm. Winter Fest OC

The annual Winter Fest OC will begin on December 19th. The eighteen-day festival will run through January 5th. The OC Fairgrounds will be transformed into a winter wonderland, with attractions and live entertainment. There will be an outdoor skating rink, ice tubing down Snowflake Summit, and fresh snow blown in daily for snow play. In addition, there will Yowie’s Sweet Shoppe and the SoCal Dickens Village. 41st Annual Sugar Plum Arts and Crafts Festival

The 41st Annual Sugar Plum Arts and Crafts Festival will be taking place on November 7th, 8th, and 9th.  This is a great way to get in the spirit for the holidays and get a jump start on your holiday shopping. There will be over 150 local artists and crafters selling their creations including: holiday, home and garden decorations, jewelry, candles, and much, much more. There will be a vintage and shabby chic market.  The show is open from 10am to 8pm on Thursday and Friday and from 9am to 5pm on Saturday. The crafts festival will be held in the Costa Mesa Building. Movie Night at OCCC

Movie Night at the Orange County Coast College will be taking place on Friday, October, 11th.  This is a fun annual event for both students and community members. This movie installment will be The Nightmare before Christmas. Pre-Movie entertainment begins at 6pm and the movie begins at 7pm. There will be free snacks and popcorn provided throughout the evening. Please pre-register for this event. The movies are held on the College Main Quad. Quilt, Craft and Sewing Festival

The is coming up at the OC Fair and Events Center. Housed in the Hangar building, the show will take place October 3rd, 4thand 5th. Thursday and Friday the show will be open from 10am to 5pm and on Saturday from 10am to 4pm. This is a very creative environment for quilters, sewers and crafters. It is a great show to experience with friends. There will be lots of new supplies to try out and purchase. Admission is free and parking is $9. Harvest Festival

The OC Fair and Events is hosting the very large Harvest Festival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday: September 20th, 21stand 22nd. This three-day show will have over 24,000 American handmade and embellished arts and crafts. In addition, there will be entertainment and prizes. Show food includes bread, soups, desserts, candied apples and much more. There will be a Kid Zone area. The show is open from 10am to 5pm on Friday and Sunday and 10am to 6pm on Saturday. It will be held in the Costa Mesa Building, Huntington Beach Building and the Santa Ana Pavilion. Tickets are $9 for general admission and kids, 12 and under are free. The Great Labor Day Cruise 2019

The Great Labor Day Cruise is taking place on Saturday, August 31st and Sunday, September 1st. This is one of the longest running events in Orange County. The cruise route is 1.25 miles and circles a 150 acre venue, at the OC Fair and Events Center. All the proceeds from the Great Labor Day Cruise are donated to the Warrior Foundation ~ Freedom Station. Admission is $12. The OC Night Market is happening on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 23rd through August 25th. This will be the last OC Night Market of the year, which takes place at the OC Fair and Event Center in Costa Mesa. There is something for everyone at the Night Market, eats, drinks, shopping and entertainment. There will over 200 vendors, with local food, merchandise, games and arts. In addition, entertainment will include live music performances, eating contests, magicians, an Art Walk and dance competitions. The OC Fair is located at 88 Fair Drive. Mariachi Performance at OC Fair

 

The Orange County Fair and Event Center has many events going on this coming weekend including the Viva El Mariachi. Viva El Maricachi will feature Mariachi Sol de Mexico de Jose Hernandez and other mariachi bands. This year they will be performing at the Pacific Amphitheatre, they have performed at the OC Fair for more than 20 years usually on The Hangar stage. The concert begins at 6pm on Sunday, August 4th.
