Seal Beach is located in Orange County. It is tucked into the western most corner of Orange County. Just across the county border lies the city of Long Beach. Long Beach is in Los Angeles County, northwest of Seal Beach. Seal Beach is adjacent to San Pedro Bay on the Northwest. On the southwest Seal Beach neighbors Huntington Beach and Huntington Harbour. To the east of Seal Beach are the cities of Westminster and Garden Grove. To the North of Seal Beach is the city of Los Alamitos. Seal Beach was incorporated in 1915, at which time it took the name Seal Beach. Seal Beach is known locally as the “Friendly City.” The population is approximately 25,000 people. Seal Beach is 29 miles from Los Angeles and 102 miles from San Diego.

There are 24 private schools in the area, including the blue ribbon award winning Orange County High School of the Arts to Santa Ana, which is now a charter school. Among the many other private schools are Liberty Christian, LePort School, Huntington Christian School and Grace Lutheran School.
Seal Beach has near perfect weather year round, making it a terrific location to take advantage of the many outdoor activities here.
